Brief description and main aims
The main objectives are conservation, environmental education and research; On average, around 2000 visitors are received monthly. The project maintains 7 permanent staff members to maintain green areas but lacks environmental guides for guided tours.

Cultural Exposure
Cuenca is one of the most beautiful cities in the country, and is split by four rivers, colonial style streets, european style architecture, churches and cathedrals, incan ruins and cultural markets and buildings filled with art and handicrafts

Main Activities
The project has permanent staff that takes care of the plants and installations, they also offer nature conservation and education events for schools and children to raise awareness.

Volunteer tasks
The volunteers will develop a personal project which they will propose, as well as taking care of activities assigned to them such as: visitor management, guided tours, nocturnal events, biocommerce markets, agricultural work, upkeep and cleaning of installations, working in the entomology laboratory taking care of the collection and plastering of insects.

Volunteer requirements / Skills
The volunteers should be proactive, as they will be in charge of their own personal project. Basic Spanish skills are helpful but not necessary.
