Brief description and main aims
The aim of the project is to offer different types of therapy to children with and without disabilities, such as equine therapy as well as other extracurricular activities.

Cultural Exposure
Cayambe is an agricultural service city in highland Ecuador. It lies at the foot of the Cayambe volcano. While the city is mainly populated by mestizos, the surrounding rural population is primarily composed of indigenous people who are mainly involved in subsistence agriculture, dairy farming and procurement of lumber. It is the third-largest city in Pichincha Province

Main Activities
The day starts in the morning with a door to door transportation service, the morning group includes kids up to six years of age who partake in activities such as equine therapy, art and cooking classes, and music therapy

Volunteer tasks
The volunteer will always have the support of the tutor and the teachers of each area, they will participate in the different therapy programs they offer as well as environmental conservation projects

Volunteer requirements / SkillsThe ideal volunteer profile is someone who is adaptable, willing to learn and orientated towards guidance. They need to be balanced, capable of dealing with frustration, and a person that values respect, empathy, cooperation, sensitivity and compromise, as these are the main principles of the institution. |
