Brief description and main aims

Tuburan Coffee Farmers Association is a community-driven initiative aimed at promoting sustainable coffee farming practices while supporting local farmers in Tuburan, Cebu. Primary aim is to promote sustainable agriculture, empower local farmers, boost livelihood, community development and preserve local culture and environment. The Tuburan Coffee Farm Association works with smallholder farmers to cultivate high quality coffee, primarily the Robusta variety, which thrives in Tuburan’s climate and soil. The association provides technical support, training and access to modern farming equipment to improve farming practices. Additionally, TCFA focuses on building a cooperative model where farmers collectively manage resources and share the benefits of increased productivity and access to larger markets. The project emphasizes creating a sustainable value chain that includes production, processing and marketing.

Cultural Exposure

Tuburan Coffee Farmers Association is deeply rooted in the values of collective action, sustainability, and cultural pride. Through its cooperative structure, TCFA helps smallholder farmers improve their economic prospects, adopt sustainable farming practices, and access new markets. Beyond the economic impact, TCFA fosters a sense of community, gender inclusivity, and local identity, all while advocating for the well-being of its members at local and national levels. This multifaceted approach ensures that the farmers of Tuburan can thrive and continue their coffee farming tradition for generations to come.
