Brief description and main aims
The word ‘NIMUJO’ is developed from southern ethnic group known as MAKONDE translates as “Your Fellow”. NIMUJO Edutainment Centre is a registered NGO which is committed to preserving Tanzanian culture and fostering aspiring artists’ development. The project serves as a hub for creative contemporary arts, life skills and sexual reproductive education, and mentorship for emerging artists through its innovative Cultural Garage program.

Volunteer tasks
Teaching English language for communication
Facilitating contemporary arts i.e. dance and acrobatic,
Conducting life skills and sexual reproductive health education
Supporting local staff with administration work
Content creation for social media and marketing

Volunteer requirements / Skills
This project is suitable to professionals and nonprofessionals volunteers
Are at least 18 years of age at the time of arrival.
Have an advanced knowledge of spoken and written English.
Interested in contemporary arts, dance, stage play, life skills, and sexual reproductive health education

Location
NIMUJO Edutainment Centre is located at Kigamboni
beach plot in Dar es Salaam with operational offices at
Tandale and Mwananyama both are in Dar es Salaam. It
approximately 1 hour from the international airport, and
30 minutes from the City Centre.
Tandale and Mwanayamala are neighborhoods in Dar es
Salaam which have high population and low-income
(poor) families.
