Brief description and main aims

YMCA Goyang International Youth Cultural Center was established in 2021 to support various experiential activities and cultural education activities of youth. The aim is to support early childhood education activities and create a healthy environment for children to enjoy learning.

Volunteer tasks

Assists in early childhood education activities and works as an assistant in various sports activities. Various physical activities such as swimming, inline skating, golf, yoga, and gymnastics, as well as experience activities, such as safety experience and traffic safety education, are held together. Little  bit  of care work is also involved, such as helping the kids changing their clothes for special activities etc.

Volunteer requirements / Skills

Volunteer should be:

  • Active, initiative, patient, out-going and interested in working with children
  • Willing to learn Korean language quickly
  • Flexible and willing to carry out a variety of tasks
  • Interested in sports

Location

The project is located in Il-san, Goyang.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

The Volunteer will live in the YMCA Hotel (with a roommate) or in the guest house.
