Brief description and main aims

The Nigerian Red Cross is a non-governmental organisation stablished to respond quickly to disaster and provide first aid to victims of disasters and evacuate victims of accidents.

Main Activities

- Training students in first aid and its application
- Training and empowering mothers, widows and mothers to be on child and maternal health
- Teaching /imparting knowledge to red cross pupils in Red Cross Nursery School
- HIV/AIDS education training
- Providing first aid to victims of accidents and disaster

Volunteer tasks

- Class Teachers assistance
- Assisting in all sections of the society and Immunization days

Volunteer requirements / Skills

- Volunteers should be open minded
- Ready to interact with young people and adolescent
- Ability to work with children
- Able to communicate in English

Location

The project is located in Lagos, mainland.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

The volunteer will stay with a host family.
