Brief description and main aims

Seocho YMCA was founded in 1994 and it belongs to Seoul YMCA. It is a physical education center which covers some of the other part of Songpa community. The aim is to create a healthy environment for children to enjoy learning.

Main Activities

  • Multi-faceted courses like swimming, soccer and inline skating
  • Outdoor exercises and other activities
 

Volunteer tasks

To work as a teaching assistant in classes, take part in different educational and leisure activities mainly sports, trips, etc. In some occasions, volunteers are required to help out with social activities, camps, etc. Little bit of care work is involved, such as helping kids changing their clothes for special activities etc.
 

Volunteer requirements / Skills

Volunteer should be:
  • Female, 22-27 years old
  • Active, initiative, patient, out-going and interested in working with children
  • Willing to learn Korean language quickly
  • Flexible and willing to carry out a variety of tasks
  • Interested in sports
 

Location

The project is located in Seocho-gu, Seoul. 

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

Volunteer will be accommodated in the YMCA Hotel (with a roommate).
