The volunteer is expected to:
help disabled children ride horses.
help with maintenance of the horses.
help out welcoming participants.
Volunteer requirements / Skills
The volunteer should:
have an interest in working with disabled children.
have a love for horses.
If the volunteer wants to participate in the psychology and rehabilitation workshops, they must have previous work experience in this field.
Tumbacois, 50 minutes outside of Quito.
The project is located about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop. The center is a large, well maintained property that is surrounded only by nature.
Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)
There is a volunteer house on the same property as the AM-EN project, so volunteers live all together. The house has a kitchen where volunteers can cook and prepare their food. As a second option, volunteers may live with a host family in the Tumbaco area.
