Brief description and main aims
Action Health Incorporated (AHI) is a non-governmental organization established in 1989 and dedicated to promoting young people’s health and development to ensure their successful transition to healthy and productive adulthood.
AHI is dedicated to improving the health of Nigerian adolescents. |
Main Activities
AHI advances this agenda by working with young people, parents, community opinion leaders, youth-serving organisations, government agencies and policy makers to:

Volunteer tasksVolunteer will work with all department of the organization during the first few weeks. He/she will then decide which department to settle down with. The volunteer will be assigned to one of the project coordinators whom she/he will work with and report directly to. The volunteer will also work mostly at the community based on-going projects.
Volunteers will resume by 9.00am and close by 4.00pm. Saturdays and Sundays are free.

Volunteer requirements / Skills
No specific skill required. However, volunteer must be able to communicate in English language and must be open minded. Volunteers should ready to interact with young people, be prepared to help with life changes for the youth and be ready to work in slums and rural areas of the state.

Location
The project is located in Jibowu Lagos is in the serene part of Lagos Mainland. There is access to internet, supermarkets cinemas and the transportation to the project is safe and direct.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)The volunteer will stay with a host family. |
