Brief description and main aims

Aldeas Padre Alfredo is a non-profit organization supported by the Catholic Church. Their mission is to provide support for development of orphaned or abandoned children with social problems in a home and family atmosphere. In order to provide better future prospects, the it offers a secure, permanent and protected upbringing with appropriate education to enable employment and future self-sufficiency. This vocational work is done in an open way to provide a fair, equal and prosperous society.

Main Activities

Aldeas Padre Alfredo gives street children a home, board, an education, health care and social and psychological assistance. It also helps the children finish school and offers special training for their future. The organization gives the children love and teaches them to find a place in society, self-confidence, responsibility and what is like to be part of a family.

Volunteer tasks

Office tasks: doing translations, getting godparents abroad for children, and writing essays for the project and help with project events.

Volunteer requirements / Skills

The volunteer should be :
  • open minded
  • flexible
  • academically trained
  • independent
  • aged between 25-35
Volunteers must have computer skills.

Location

Santa Cruz.
