The CSI New Life Centre is a training centre for underprivileged young people. The centre offers young people from the local community the opportunity to learn vocational skills, which not only helps the individual to become self reliant and economically independent but also benefits society as a whole.

This project offers training for under privileged young people so that they can learn valuable vocational skills. The project aims to give these young people the chance to become active members of their society by giving them an opportunity to learn a trade and be self reliant and economically independent. The centre offers training in carpentry, embroidery, tailoring, electrical work etc.

- Teach English to the young people attending the training centre
- Help out with the office administration
- Help with workshops/teaching of other skills related to the project such as embroidery, tailoring, carpentry etc.

- Able to teach English
- Mature, committed, friendly, patient, enthusiastic
- Able to deal with children and young adults from often disadvantaged background

Semi urban town, situated 100 km from Bangalore.

Minimum: 4 weeks
Maximum: 16 weeks

Host family

Volunteers should bring:

- Mosquito repellent (can be bought in Bangalore)
- Light warm clothes for rainy weather and winter
