- Enhance a stronger sense of volunteerism and increase awareness on the role of affirmative action towards social change.
- Realize a self-sustaining children’s library, volunteer-driven and community-led.
- The project is an initiative that will involve the community in promoting love for reading in children.
- The project shall also serve as resource center for students and teachers, youth and adults; and individuals and organizations interested in the library’s endeavour by being part of storytelling sessions and workshops volunteer training, art workshops, among others.

There is much room for creativity for the volunteers as long as it is aligned to the values and directions the program heads have determined on a per program basis. The volunteers can be exposed to all tasks but, more priority will be given to those who would want to get involved with the setting up of Community Libraries, Children and Youth Development and Community empowerment.
- Assist in the activities of the setting up of children’s library

- Assist the trainers/facilitators in volunteer preparation activities
- Teach English to children in the area
- Mingle with the children/volunteers and other clients/partners without prejudice and to share also his/her experiences from the country where s/he came from

Quezon City and other cities in Metro Manila and other EDUK sites in Luzon (Lucena City-Quezon, Mariveles- Bataan, Quezon City, etc.).

The volunteer will live in the project or with a host family in close proximity to the library/office.
