Brief description and main aims

Samara Jewish kindergarten Makkabi was founded in Samara in 1995. The aim of the educational program is the moral and psychological development of children. The children are taught to respect jewish traditions and customs.
 

Main Activities

To provide an educational program that meets the particularities of the children's age and helps develop their mind and skills according to their abilities. The methods used are very diverse but the main forms used are teaching through games and using visual materials.

Volunteer tasks

The volunteer is expected to:
  • help with the organisation of a workshop (language, dance, sports, handicrafts, theatre, etc.)
  • actively participate in the activities of the project
  • organize outdoor activities for children

Volunteer requirements / Skills

The volunteers should:
  • be able to speak Russian
  • have a trong motivation and desire to work with children
  • have past experience working with children
  • possess leadership skills
  • be aged between 18-30 years old

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

The volunteer will either live in a host family, or in a rented apartment shared with other international volunteers.
