Brief description and main aims

This is a new charitable project working with the children and young adults affected with disability both physically and mentally some are severe others mild it offers education, therapy, vocational training, feeding, and general rehabilitation services and empowering the disabled to be self- reliant

Main Activities

Regular activities:
  •  Teaching
  •  Therapy
  •  Feeding
  •  Practical activities/vocational
  •  Changing
  •  Games especially on weekends with neighboring schools for social interaction
  •  Farming
  •  Guiding and counselling especially HIV/AIDS clients
 
Target groups:
  •  Children with disabilities
  •  Youth
  •  Young women

Volunteer tasks

  • General cleaning
  • Assist in physical therapy for the children
  • Assist in farming
  • Extracurricular activities

Volunteer requirements / Skills

  • Be able to communicate in English
  • Well-behaved person who respects others
  • Ready to learn

Location

The population of Kithyoko is dominantly Kamba people with low population of other ethnic communities who run businesses within the market place.
