Brief description and main aims

Hope for HIV/AIDS International have the mission to motivate, Educate and mobilise communities in Lagos Nigeria towards eradication of poverty, reduction in malaria and combating HIV/AIDS

Volunteer tasks

  • Office Administrative support
  • Home-Visits to orphans and the poor
  • Resource Mobilization from Corporate Institutions and Schools
  • Social Media & online Advocacy and Developer.Volunteers will work from 8.am- 4.00pm. Saturdays and Sundays will be free .

Volunteer requirements / Skills

  • No specific skills are required.
  • However, volunteer must be able to communicate in English language and must be open minded.
  • Volunteers should be ready to work with children.

Location

The projects are located in the rural slums of Lagos city. It is right in the heart of Lagos city and somehow shows a very great difference between the upper and lower class.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

Host Family
Volunteers will be provided breakfast and dinner by the host family. Lunch will be at host project and arrangements will be made for this.

More Information

Volunteers can bring used toys and used clothes for orphaned and less privilege children. Volunteers should bring comfortable shoes and light (cotton) clothes to wear as the weather can be extremely hot. Long trousers/pants too can help to prevent mosquito bites.
