Centro Guadalupe is a state boarding house that offers immediate attention to girls between 6 and 16 years old who have escaped from their families or are waiting for the result of a legal process. They stay in the center for a certain period after which they could be adopted by a new family.
The project's main activities include:
housing the girls
taking the girls to school,
assisting the girls psychologically and stimulating them to participate in the activities of the community.
helping the girls develop their abilities inside the various occupational therapies.
The volunteer is expected to help the girls with homework, school work and in everything related to occupational therapy.
Volunteer requirements / Skills
It would be better if the volunteer had some training in occupational therapy, such as embroidery, painting or sewing. It is necessary for the volunteer to take a lot of initiative.
