Brief description and main aims

To bring street boys to a more secure and hopeful future by providing a home for them. To re-socialise the street boys in order to reintegrate them into the society as respectable, responsible, happy and productive people. The children are sourced from the streets and from nearby slum areas.

Main Activities

Rehabilitation of the young boys through counselling, games, drama, and useful life skills such as house cleaning, agriculture, carpentry etc.

Volunteer tasks

  • Assisting in planning extra-curricular activities, e.g drama, sports
  • Assist in the general chores around the home

Volunteer requirements / Skills

  • Artistic
  • Willingness to learn
  • Able to communicate in English
  • Willing to participate in sports and drama
  • Preferably a male

Location

The project is located in Nairobi.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

Living with a host family.
