Center of youth voluntary activities DEINETA was founded in 1988. The main activities were - international short term projects - work camps.
Since 1999 Deineta has been working with the ICYE Federation. It has an office with two full and one part-time staff in Kaunas, supported by many
co-workers, who are mostly students from various high schools.
Programme Voluntary work placements are mainly in the field of social work, i.e. working in boarding schools for disabled children, children rehabilitation centres, children care homes, refugees centres, homes for elderly people. Deineta cooperates with the Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations and local youth organisations.
