In this section we have summarised the main features of programme opportunities offered by ICYE
National Committees. Such programmes follow the general policies and procedures of the ICYE Federation,
and aim at providing a unique, high quality and personalised exchange experience. Implementation of
distinct activities is however carried out differently depending on the cultural and social contexts of
each country and hosting community.
Regardless of a particular interest in any given country, we would like to encourage potential
programme participants to read carefully through each country profile. The diversity of opportunities
is great and the particular chance one looks for may be in a country that had not been considered.
Another effective way to learn about the programmes in the different countries is to talk with
ICYE returnees who have participated in the ICYE programme and/or with current exchangees and volunteers.
Please note that since most of ICYE volunteer co-workers are returnees, they should also be approached
as a first-hand source of information about ICYE.
For more detailed information about the distinct programmes and participation procedures, please
feel free to contact the offices of the various National Committees, at the addresses indicated in this
section.
