Inter-Cultural Youth Exchange - ICYE UK was founded in 1993. The committee is made up of volunteers, most of whom are former exchangees. The office is located in north-west London and is staffed by two full-time and one part-time staff. |

Accommodation is provided by the host projects, normally in flats with other volunteers, in staff hostels or in residential homes for people with disabilities. Long-term accommodation in host families is not offered but weekend visits to British families are organised. |

Voluntary work placements are mainly in the field of social work, i.e. working in schools for children with learning difficulties, hostels for homeless people and in residential centres for disabled adults. Environmental projects may be available for volunteers with relevant experience and interest in the field. |
