The ICYE programme in Honduras began in 1981. The committee is run by former exchangees and volunteers. The national office, located in Tegucigalpa is run by a four-staff team. |

Most of the exchangees live with host families. Some live in hosting projects.

Hosting organisations work with homeless and street children, disabled, children's rights. Attendance of university courses is allowed provided it does not
interfere with voluntary service.

Camps, conferences and activities around ecology, cultural awareness,
peace and economic justice.
Volunteers have the option to participate in several activities outside the
programme arranged by ICYE Honduras during the year.
