Intercambio Cultural Internacional de Jovenes (ICIJ-Bolivia).
Founded in 1964 by the Methodist Church. In 1983 those ties finally lapsed. Ever since ICYE Bolivia
has been an independent non-denominational organisation. There is one permanent staff in the main office
in La Paz and five regional groups in Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, Potosi, Sucre and Tarija, all of them run
by volunteers.

Residential voluntary service projects. Host families are only available in urban areas. |

Voluntary service in urban and rural projects especially working with the disabled,
with socially deprived children, literacy programs, in government youth information and leisure centres,
women’s groups, human rights and health education NGOs. The family/school program is available only upon
special request. |
